Hyderabad: In a strong message of solidarity with India, former Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, expressing her condolences to the victims and emphasizing the need for global cooperation against terrorism.

“Let me say my deep condolences to India for this terrible attack that happened in Kashmir. And we also had a minute of silence in respect for all the victims,” Linde said during her remarks in Hyderabad.

She noted that the rise in terrorist incidents is not confined to a single region, highlighting the growing threat in her own country. “Growing terrorism in many countries, including my own country, is a global problem that needs to be fought,” she said, drawing attention to the international dimension of the crisis.

Linde also mentioned that Sweden has responded to these challenges by significantly tightening its anti-terrorism laws. “In my country Sweden, we have done some severely strengthening of the laws against terrorism in many different ways,” she added.
