War is imminent! Military aircraft and warships patrolling

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Taiwan's Defence Ministry said on Tuesday that 34 Chinese military aircraft were flying near the island and four Chinese warships were patrolling "combat readiness" patrols.

China claims it as its own territory despite strong objections from Taiwan. Taiwan has faced an almost daily mission of Chinese military aircraft in recent years.

The Taiwanese government strongly opposes China's claim to sovereignty and vows to defend itself if China invades the island.
