Ankara | The Government of Türkiye has issued a formal clarification following media speculation linking Turkish Technic, the country’s leading aviation maintenance provider, to the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner involved in a recent crash during take-off.

Responding to circulating claims, Turkish authorities firmly stated that “the claim that the maintenance of the Boeing 787-8 passenger aircraft was carried out by Turkish Technic is false.”

According to the official statement, the maintenance agreements signed between Air India and Turkish Technic in 2024 and 2025 are strictly limited to Boeing 777-type wide-body aircraft. “The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner involved in the accident does not fall within the scope of this agreement,” the clarification read.

Türkiye emphasized that no maintenance has ever been performed by Turkish Technic on any Air India aircraft of the B787-8 type, directly contradicting early assumptions or reports suggesting otherwise.
