SC warns of contempt proceedings against SBI

By A STAFF REPORTER: The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed State Bank of India's (SBI) plea seeking extension of time till June 30 to submit details of electoral bonds to the Election Commission.

The Supreme Court has directed the Election Commission to compile the data and publish the details on its official website by 5 pm on March 15.

On electoral bonds, the Supreme Court has warned SBI that it will initiate contempt of court proceedings against SBI if it fails to submit details of electoral bonds to the Election Commission by March 12.
