Some gaza homes damaged or destroyed

BY A STAFF REPORTER: It is reported that about half of Gaza's buildings have been damaged or destroyed in the war. The damaged buildings include factories, prayer halls, schools, shopping malls and hotels. Israel says many schools, mosques and other buildings in Gaza have been damaged after being used for military purposes as base for terrorist groups' operations.

According to sources, only eight of Gaza's 36 hospitals can receive patients and most basic infrastructure, including water, electricity and communications, has been destroyed.
