"It was a very wide and stimulating discussion. Members of the Swedish Foreign Affairs Committee had some questions for us, and our Indian Foreign Affairs Committee members responded comprehensively," Tharoor said. He emphasized that the engagement was part of strengthening friendly relations between the two parliaments.
Separately, Tharoor also raised the issue of repatriating the mortal remains of Thomas Gabriel, an Indian citizen from Tiruvannamalai. "I have written to the Ministry of External Affairs and the embassy, requesting urgent action to expedite his return to his family," he stated.
