Several mortars fired from Syria at Israel

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Israel's defense forces said several mortars were fired from Syria into the Golan Heights. The IDF said several missiles entered Israeli territory and landed in open areas, causing no damage.

Israel has responded to the Syrian attack. After several mortars were fired into northern Israel, the IDF said it was carrying out artillery strikes in Syria. The IDF said it targeted the origin of the mortar fire.
