Correspondent, Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin is facing an armed rebellion. It's a direct challenge to Russia's military establishment and Putin's leadership. The chief of the Wagner mercenary group, which has been fighting the war on behalf of the Russians and instrumental in capturing Ukrainian positions, has declared war against Russia.
According to information, available with ANM News, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Wagner group chief has announced that his mercenaries have captured Rostov-on-Don, a major Russian city and is moving towards another city, Voronezh, not far from Moscow. The Wagner Group is a private army of mercenaries that has been fighting alongside the regular Russian army in Ukraine. Prigozhin has been very vocal in his criticism of Russia's military leadership and has threatened to topple defence minister Sergei Shoigu.
