Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko on Thursday received an all-party Indian Parliamentary delegation in Moscow, marking the commencement of the delegation’s five-nation diplomatic visit. The high-level meeting underscores growing engagement between the two countries amidst evolving global dynamics.
The eight-member delegation, led by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Kanimozhi, comprises representatives from across India’s political spectrum. Alongside Kanimozhi, the delegation includes Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev Rai, National Conference MP Mian Altaf Ahmad, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Captain Brijesh Chowta (Retd), Aam Aadmi Party MP Ashok Kumar Mittal, and two seasoned diplomats — Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri and Ambassador Jawed Ashraf.
During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral ties, regional developments, and avenues for expanding cooperation in trade, education, culture, and technology. Rudenko highlighted the historic nature of India-Russia relations and expressed confidence in deepening parliamentary exchanges to foster greater mutual understanding.
