BY A STAFF REPORTER: Russia's Defense Ministry said its air defenses destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone in the Leningrad region bordering the Gulf of Finland.
Leningrad regional governor Alexander Drozdenko said "air targets" hit the waters and coastline of the Gulf of Finland in Lomonosov district, including the port of Bronka, about 60 kilometers west of St. Petersburg. There were no casualties or damage. "
The Defense Ministry said Ukraine tried to strike "using UAVs like aircraft" in the Leningrad region and separately in the Belgorod region.
