BY A STAFF REPORTER: Russia launched its fifth airstrike this month targeting Kyiv on Tuesday night. Kyiv's military said early Wednesday that Ukrainian air defenses had destroyed all weapons en route to the Ukrainian capital.
Serhiy Popko, head of Kyiv's military administration, said there were no casualties in the capital according to preliminary information. '
The full extent of the attack was not immediately known. There was no comment from Russia.
Russia launched an attack on Ukraine's energy, military and transport infrastructure in October 2022, six months after Moscow troops failed to capture Kyiv and six months after Ukraine withdrew east and south.
