Restaurant explosion kills 31 in China

BY A STAFF REPORTER: At least 31 people were killed in an explosion at a restaurant in the northwestern Chinese city of Inchuan. "Two others sustained serious burns, two suffered minor injuries and two suffered injuries from glass injuries. "

More than 12 fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, sources said. The explosion took place at 8:40 pm local time on Wednesday at the Fuang Barbecue Restaurant in the residential area of Inchuan, the capital of the Ningxia Autonomous Region.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for "all-out efforts to treat the injured and strengthen security supervision and management in industries and sectors critical to protect people's lives and property." 

The Ministry of Emergency Management said the local fire and rescue service had sent more than 100 rescue workers and 20 vehicles to the scene after the explosion. The rescue operation was completed by 4 am on Thursday.
