Magnitude 6.2 quake hits east of Tokyo

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Japan was rocked by a massive earthquake. Japan's meteorological agency said a 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit the coast near Tokyo on Friday evening.

According to sources, the earthquake hit the Pacific waters of Japan's Chiba region at a depth of 50 kilometers at 7:03 pm local time. However, there is no tsunami warning as a result of the earthquake.
