Chennai — Highlighting the strategic importance of India in regional affairs, the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai has reiterated the strength of the U.S.-India partnership under the Quad framework, as preparations intensify for the upcoming Quad Leaders’ Summit in India later this year.

In a social media post on Monday, the Consulate stated, “This month, we highlight the robust U.S.-India partnership through the Quad. As we approach the Quad Leaders’ Summit in India this year, the United States, India, Australia, and Japan are committed to building a free, prosperous, and secure Indo-Pacific region.”

The post also quoted U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who recently concluded a high-level visit to India. During his visit, Vance emphasized New Delhi’s centrality to the regional order: “India is not just a partner of the United States — we believe India is indispensable to the future of the Indo-Pacific.”
