In a significant acknowledgment of his global leadership, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded Mauritius's highest civilian honor, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GCSK). The announcement was made by Mauritius's Prime Minister, Navin Ramgoolam, during the nation's National Day celebrations, marking a milestone in the diplomatic relations between India and Mauritius.

The GCSK is bestowed upon individuals who have made substantial contributions to the advancement of Mauritius and its international relations. Prime Minister Modi's recognition underscores his efforts in fostering unity and cooperation on a global scale.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to social media to congratulate Prime Minister Modi, stating, "Congratulations to PM Narendra Modi on being announced as the recipient of the highest award of Mauritius, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean. This 21st international award for Modi Ji is another honour for his global statesmanship, which is shaping international relations with the ancient mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
