Cadarache, France: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by French President Emmanuel Macron, visited the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) facility in Cadarache, France. The ITER project, a global collaborative effort, aims to harness nuclear fusion for sustainable and limitless clean energy in the future.
Taking to social media, PM Modi expressed his admiration for the scientists and engineers working on the ambitious project. “Complimented the team working on this project, which represents a commendable step toward sustainable and limitless clean energy for the future,” he stated.
The ITER project, one of the world's largest scientific collaborations, involves 35 nations, including India, the European Union, the United States, China, Russia, and Japan. It seeks to demonstrate the feasibility of nuclear fusion, the same process that powers the sun, as a safe and abundant energy source for the planet.
