New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a State Visit to Mauritius on March 11-12, 2025, at the invitation of Mauritian Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam. He will attend Mauritius’ National Day celebrations on March 12 as the Chief Guest, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced.
As part of the celebrations, a contingent of the Indian Defence Forces will participate in the event, alongside a ship from the Indian Navy, symbolizing India’s strong maritime and strategic ties with the island nation.
This visit marks PM Modi’s return to Mauritius after a decade, with his last visit taking place in 2015. The trip is expected to further strengthen India-Mauritius relations, particularly in the areas of trade, security, and cultural cooperation.
