Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, where the two leaders held wide-ranging discussions on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing regional challenges.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’, Prime Minister Modi described the talks as “excellent” and underlined the breadth of subjects covered. He said discussions focused on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, fertilisers, space, security, and cultural exchanges.
The Prime Minister also noted that both leaders exchanged views on key regional and global developments. Among these was the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where Modi reiterated the importance of finding a peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.
