PM Modi Pays Tribute at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra

By A Staff Reporter

Accra, Ghana – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid solemn homage at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park (KNMP) in Accra, honouring one of Africa’s most iconic leaders and Ghana’s founding father, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. He was accompanied by Ghana’s Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, during the ceremonial visit.

KNMP, a national symbol of Ghanaian pride and independence, houses the mausoleum of Dr. Nkrumah and his wife Fathia Nkrumah. Designed by Ghanaian architect Don Arthur, the park stands as a tribute to Nkrumah’s legacy in leading Ghana to become the first sub-Saharan African country to gain independence from colonial rule in 1957.
