Warsaw: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has touched down in Warsaw for a significant 2-day visit to Poland, marking the first visit by an Indian prime minister to the country in 45 years. The trip is timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Poland.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal tweeted an overview of the visit, highlighting that PM Modi will pay tribute at the Good Maharaja Memorial, which symbolizes a unique historical connection between the two nations. Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will engage in bilateral talks with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, followed by a meeting with President Andrzej Duda. He will also connect with Polish business leaders, Indologists, and kabaddi players, aiming to strengthen ties at both the diplomatic and people-to-people levels.
