BY A STAFF REPORTER: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday discussed the situation in West Asia with Uae President Mohammed bin Zayed. The two leaders reportedly expressed deep concern over terrorism, deteriorating security situation and civilian casualties in the region.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Had a good discussion with my brother UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed on the situation in West Asia. We are deeply concerned about terrorism, deteriorating security situation and civilian casualties. We agree on the need for a quick resolution of the security and humanitarian situation and that a sustainable regional peace, security and stability is in the interest of all. "
