BY A STAFF REPORTER: Bangladesh elections is slowly turning out to be a Bollywood potboiler. Mafia dons, criminals, war lords, fundamentalists are crossing sword with politicians and industrialists. In Khulna 5 parliamentary constituency, a person with questionable reputation is trying hard to get nomination as an independent or from any other political party.

According to locals, Akram Hussein, is a notorius character and is trying to unseat sitting parliamentarian former minister Narayan Chandra Chanda. "He is moving around with criminals and anti-socials and trying to terrorise the voters. His nomination has not been cleared and he has lodged an appeal. He is taking support of the local criminals and speding lot of money,'' Chanda told ANM News over phone. A survey carried out by ANM News revealed that the popular teacher, Chanda has a clear sight of winning at the hustings.
