1 killed in West Bank

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Palestinian health officials said Israeli forces killed a Palestinian citizen in the occupied West Bank on Thursday.

Khalil Yahya Anis, 20, was shot in the head in the city of Nablus, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

The Israeli military said troops stationed in the city opened fire and retaliated. Soldiers are demolishing the home of a Palestinian man who was behind the killing of an Israeli soldier last year. Israel has destroyed the attackers' homes, which is deterrent against future attacks. 

Israelis and Palestinians have been plagued by months of violence, mainly over the West Bank, where nearly 120 Palestinians have been killed this year.
