1 killed, 7 injured in UK stabbing

BY A STAFF REPORTER: One person has been killed and seven others injured after being stabbed outside a nightclub in Cornwall, UK. A 24-year-old unidentified man was arrested in bodmin town early Sunday as a suspect in the attack on eight people. Police said the unidentified attacker was arrested on charges of murder, attempt to murder and intentionally causing grievous bodily harm. Officials said in a statement that an emergency response team arrived shortly after 3am on Sunday after receiving a report of a "serious confrontation" at The Eclipse Night Club in Bodmin. A 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and seven other men and women were injured, police said. Authorities said seven people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Devon and Cornwall Police have launched an investigation into the murder.
