Delhi: National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, in his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, highlighted signs of improvement in India-China relations, pointing to stability along the borders and stronger bilateral exchanges.
Doval said that recent months had witnessed an upward trend in ties, with peace and tranquillity prevailing at the frontier. He attributed the progress to the guidance of leaders from both sides, particularly their meeting in Kazan last October, which he described as a turning point in setting a new direction for the relationship.
According to Doval, the environment created since then has supported more meaningful engagements across various areas of cooperation. He stressed that continued dialogue and constructive exchanges would be essential to building on the current momentum.
The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and China. It also served as an opportunity to review bilateral progress while addressing longstanding issues, including management of the Line of Actual Control.
