New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs announced that Nepal has become the 101st member of the International Solar Alliance (ISA). The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal ratified the ISA membership by handing over the Instrument of Ratification during a meeting in New Delhi.
Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared the update via Twitter, noting that the handover was completed during a meeting between Nepal's Charge d'Affaires, Dr. Surendra Thapa, and Abhishek Singh, Joint Secretary of Economic Diplomacy and Multilateral Relations, who also serves as the Head of Depository for the ISA.
This significant development marks a step forward in the ISA's mission to promote solar energy use and expand its global network. Nepal's accession reflects its commitment to enhancing sustainable energy solutions and contributes to the collective goal of advancing solar energy adoption worldwide.
