Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Mauritius Deputy Minister Hambyrajen Narsinghen praised India’s global leadership and the cultural significance of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas during his visit to Bhubaneswar for the 18th edition of the event.

Reflecting on the experience, Narsinghen said, “It was a great experience. India is a real leader in the world. I was very impressed with the speech of PM Modi.” The Deputy Minister commended the event for promoting cultural exchange and fostering a sense of unity among the Indian diaspora and international dignitaries.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, an annual celebration to recognize the contributions of the Indian diaspora, also serves as a platform to discuss issues of global importance. Narsinghen emphasized the event’s dual role, saying, “It is a cultural event, but it is also important for the people coming here to develop a sense of solidarity and help each other.”

Highlighting global challenges, he spoke about the shared responsibility of nations to combat poverty and promote sustainability. “We want to uplift people from poverty and make the world a sustainable world,” he stated, aligning with the event’s broader themes of collaboration and progress.
