New Delhi: In a significant diplomatic and economic gesture, Kazakhstan has offered long-term strategic partnership to India, aligning with New Delhi’s development goals under the ‘Viksit Bharat’ program. Speaking at the India-Central Asia Business Council meeting in Delhi, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu, commended India’s rapid economic rise.
“India is currently the fastest growing economic powerhouse and, as per some experts, very soon India will become the third largest economy of the world,” said Nurtleu. He expressed Kazakhstan’s readiness to be a reliable and committed partner in India’s growth journey, particularly in sectors of energy, connectivity, and digital innovation.
India and Central Asian nations have steadily expanded their ties through platforms like the India-Central Asia Dialogue and Business Council. Kazakhstan, rich in natural resources and strategically located, is seen as a vital link in India’s broader vision for regional connectivity and energy security, including routes through the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
