Karabakh separatists say 27 killed in Azerbaijan military operation

There have been deadly clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Azerbaijani forces fired artillery at Armenian positions in Nagorno-Karabakh on Tuesday. Local officials said the death toll from the fighting had risen to 27, including two civilians, and the number of wounded had exceeded 200. 

Ethnic Armenian authorities in the Caucasus Mountains region have called on Azerbaijan to sit down for talks, but azerbaijan's presidential administration has said the "anti-terrorism operation" will continue until the "illegal Armenian military" surrenders and the separatist government in Nagorno-Karabakh dissolves itself.
