New Delhi, 16 August — External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Friday met South Korea’s Foreign Minister Cho Hyun, with both leaders holding wide-ranging talks on deepening bilateral cooperation and reviewing global developments.

In a post shared on X, Jaishankar said he was “delighted” to meet his South Korean counterpart and noted that the discussions covered trade, manufacturing, maritime collaboration, and people-to-people exchanges. He added that new opportunities in advanced technology sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, clean energy, and defence were also explored.
The two ministers exchanged views on the Indo-Pacific region and broader international issues, highlighting their shared perspectives and growing strategic convergence. “Appreciated our deepening convergences and growing engagement as our Special Strategic Partnership completes 10 years,” Jaishankar wrote.
