BY A STAFF REPORTER: Israeli airstrikes on Saturday killed 76 members of an extended family, a day after the UN chief again warned that nowhere in Gaza was safe and that Israel's ongoing campaign was causing "massive obstacles" to the delivery of humanitarian aid.
Mahmoud Bassal, a spokesman for Gaza's civil defense, said Friday's attack on a building in Gaza City was the deadliest in the Israeli-Hamas war. He gave a partial list of the names of the victims. People from 16 families were killed and women and children were among the dead. Among the dead were Issam al-Mughrabi, a senior United Nations Development Programme worker, his wife and their five children. "
