Israeli strike in lebanon kills senior hamas official

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri was killed in an Israeli drone strike in Dahiya, a southern suburb of Beirut, on Tuesday night.

The Israeli military said Arouri was an official in Hamas' Politburo, but he was known to be deeply involved in Hamas' military affairs.

Hamas has confirmed the death of its deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri by Israel in Lebanon.

"The cowardly killings of the Zionist occupation against the leader and symbol of our Palestinian people, both inside and outside Palestine, will not succeed in breaking the will and resolve of our people or undermining the continuation of their courageous resistance," senior Hamas official Izzat al-Rishq said in a statement. "
