Mumbai: In the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Israel's Consul General to Midwest India, Kobbi Shoshani, expressed deep shock and extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families. He emphasized the importance of international collaboration in combating terrorism.
"I am deeply shocked by the disgusting terrorist activities of ruthless killers in beautiful Kashmir," Shoshani stated. "Israel is with our Indian brothers in this moment of grief."
Highlighting the persistent global threat of terrorism, Shoshani noted that while eradicating terrorism entirely may be challenging, efforts must focus on disrupting their financial networks and supply chains. "Fighting against terrorism is not an easy task. Terrorism probably will not be stopped. But we have to fight money laundering. We have to fight against their sources, their transportation of goods and shipments of ammunition," he said.
Shoshani stressed the necessity of international cooperation, stating, "That's a cooperation between all the states because terrorists would like to bring fear to the life, the normal life of the citizen in India, in the Middle East, Europe... That is their system."
He reaffirmed Israel's unwavering stance against terrorism, declaring, "We will not give any chance to terrorism to win." Expressing confidence in India's capabilities, he added, "We believe in the Indian authority and the Indian government to do the utmost to fight against terrorism."
