Tokyo, Japan | Indian Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, outlined a dynamic vision for strengthening the India-Japan relationship during an interaction in Tokyo, focusing on expanding business collaboration and leveraging skilled Indian talent.

“When you talk about the relationship, there are multiple factors in it. One is the business-to-business engagement. There are 1,500 Japanese companies in India. I have a target to make it 15,000, including the SMEs,” said George, underlining the untapped potential in bilateral economic ties.

Japan's investment in India spans diverse sectors, but George emphasized the scope for growth, particularly in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). He highlighted India's evolving workforce as a pivotal factor in the partnership. “India today has the largest population in the world, skilled and talented. I have seen that every company has a CFO who is from India. And what does the CFO bring to the table? Integrity, loyalty, and, of course, our knowledge in accountancy and mathematics,” he added.
