India has expressed alarm over rising unrest, particularly following the release of violent extremists who had been sentenced for serious crimes. The spokesperson highlighted that these developments have further worsened the security situation, posing risks to social harmony.
Furthermore, Jaiswal underscored India's repeated calls for the Bangladesh interim government to ensure the safety of Hindus and other minority communities. "It is the responsibility of the Bangladesh interim government to protect Hindus, other minorities, as well as their properties and religious institutions," he asserted.
