New Delhi: India and Switzerland held the 13th round of Foreign Office Consultations on February 13, 2025, in New Delhi, reviewing the full spectrum of their bilateral and multilateral engagements. The discussions, co-chaired by senior officials from both nations, focused on strengthening cooperation across key sectors, including trade, innovation, and sustainability.
According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), both sides assessed progress in diverse areas such as trade and investment, the India-European Free Trade Association Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (India-EFTA TEPA), air services, and technology-driven mobility. They also explored avenues to enhance collaboration in emerging fields like digitization, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.
Regional and global matters of mutual interest were also on the agenda, reflecting the growing strategic engagement between the two nations. The talks underscored India's commitment to expanding economic and technological ties with Switzerland, a key European partner.
