Manila: The fifth meeting of the India-Philippines Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC) took place on September 11 in Manila, marking a key step in strengthening defence ties between the two nations. The meeting was co-chaired by India's Defence Secretary, Shri Giridhar Aramane, and his Philippine counterpart, Senior Undersecretary Irineo Cruz Espino of the Ministry of National Defence.

The discussions covered a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues, with both sides reviewing progress across various sectors of defence cooperation. The co-chairs expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the third Service-to-Service interactions, which took place on September 10.
