BY A STAFF REPORTER: The IDF today announced the death of one soldier killed during fighting in the southern Gaza Strip, bringing the number of soldiers killed in ground operations against Hamas to 249.

Michael Gall, 29, was named Sergeant 1st Class of the 450th Battalion of the Bislamach Brigade in Jerusalem.
