BY A STAFF REPORTER: The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement on Monday that at least 491 people have been killed and 372 injured in attacks on the health sector in Gaza since October 7. At least 16 health workers lost their lives and 30 were injured, the WHO said.

Since Hamas' first attack, 28 ambulances have been damaged and 36 health care facilities have been damaged, the statement said. 

The WHO also said 118 more attacks on the health sector have been documented in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since October 7, in which three people have been killed and 15 health workers injured.
