BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Palestinian Health Ministry said the death toll in Gaza had risen to 900 since Israeli air strikes began in response to a surprise Hamas attack early Saturday. Among the dead were 260 children and 230 women, the ministry said.
The ministry said in a statement that 15 paramedics and 20 journalists were injured.
