BY A STAFF REPORTER: Rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel after a shutdown of nearly 48 hours. Sirens were sounded in the border area of Kafar Aza as a result of the attack. Locals said four interceptor missiles saw the incoming projectiles being shot down. No casualties or damage to property was reported.
The rate of rocket fire from Gaza has dropped significantly in recent weeks, as the IDF has expanded its ground offensive against Hamas.
