BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Bahrain Defense Forces (BDF) said on Friday that a fourth Bahraini soldier had been killed in a Houthi drone strike against Forces of the Saudi-led coalition in Saudi Arabia near the border with Yemen.
The BDF said in a statement that the officer died of his injuries on Friday.
Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement has been fighting the Saudi-led coalition since 2015, killing hundreds of thousands of people and making 80 percent of the population dependent on aid.
The drone strike comes after more than a year of relative calm in Yemen. That could jeopardize talks between Saudi and Houthi officials, who have held another round of talks on a possible deal to end the conflict.
