Four migrants die trying to cross the channel

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Four migrants trying to cross the Channel into Britain died in French waters early Sunday.

"One person was taken to a hospital in Boulogne in northern France in a critical condition," an official said. During the overnight rescue operation in Umirex, south of Calais, about 70 people were trying to get on a small boat and some people were pulled out of the cold water. 

The dead are believed to be Iraqis and Syrians.
