Floods in Afghanistan's Takhar province

BY A STAFF REPORTER:  Heavy rains have triggered flooding in Afghanistan's Takhar province.  One person lost his life and 10 others were injured in the floods.  According to the administration, many houses have been destroyed and thousands of people have been displaced due to flash floods.  Rescue operations have already begun in the flood-hit areas.
