Egyptian embassy worker killed in Khartoum

Egypt's foreign ministry said on Monday that its embassy's assistant administrative attaché was killed while on his way to the embassy to follow the evacuation process of Egyptians stranded in Sudan.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Egypt's Foreign Ministry said on Monday that the assistant administrative attaché at its embassy in Sudan's capital Khartoum was killed. The ministry said in a statement that Mohamed el-Gharavi was killed while on his way to the embassy to follow the evacuation process of Egyptians stranded in Sudan. Sudan's military, which initially reported being killed in egypt's assistant military attaché, revised its statement to say that the assistant administrative attaché was killed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Force.
