Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar held delegation-level talks with Kuwait's Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya in the capital, focusing on enhancing the partnership between the two nations.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Al-Yahya praised his leadership. "I would also like to thank you for the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Modi, who we believe is one of the wisest people in the world. I am sure that the Prime Minister has taken India to a better level, and I am sure he will continue that," he stated.
Highlighting the importance of the India-Kuwait relationship, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister remarked, "India is a very important partner, and we count on our relationship. I think the Joint Committee will solve many issues between Kuwait and India."
Al-Yahya also emphasized the need for a strategic roadmap to strengthen bilateral ties between the two country. "I think we can draw a roadmap between Kuwait and India, and we can proceed as fast as we can," he added.
The talks are expected to bolster cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and energy, reflecting the longstanding and growing partnership between the two nations.
