Dhaka: BNP Stages A Protest Against The General Elections 2024

The protest rally, organized in Dhaka's Paltan area, was supported by mass participation claiming that the current elections are "fraudulent and Farce". The General elections are also accused of usurping citizens' voting rights.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Saturday staged a protest demanding a ban on the upcoming general elections which will be held on 7th January, Sunday. 

The protest rally, organized in Dhaka's Paltan area, was supported by mass participation claiming that the current elections are "fraudulent and Farce". The General elections are also accused of usurping citizens' voting rights.

Gana Sanghati Andolan's Chief Coordinator, Junaid Saki revealed that the protest is being held against the oncoming general elections which he alleges to be fraudulent and usurping citizen's voting rights. He also mentioned that the people of Bangladesh are fighting for democracy and voting rights. He was seen at the forefront of the rally.

The Bangladesh General Elections 2024 will be held on 7th January. The Incumbent Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, leads Awami League Alliance, a 14-party coalition that is currently at the center.
