Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in New Delhi on Monday for a two-day official visit from 18–19 August 2025 at the invitation of India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. The visit is part of ongoing diplomatic engagements between the two countries amid efforts to stabilise relations and address longstanding issues.

During his stay, Wang Yi will participate in the 24th round of the Special Representatives’ (SR) Talks on the India-China boundary question with India’s Special Representative, NSA Ajit Doval. The dialogue mechanism, established to manage differences and maintain peace along the Line of Actual Control, remains an important channel for bilateral communication.

In addition to the boundary discussions, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the visiting foreign minister. The talks are expected to cover a wide range of subjects, including trade, people-to-people ties, regional security, and global issues of common concern.
