By A Staff Reporter — Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan is set to make an official visit to Algeria from October 31 to November 4, 2024. This visit aims to bolster defence cooperation between India and Algeria through high-level discussions and enhanced military diplomacy.
During his stay, Gen Chauhan will meet with General of Army Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of Algeria’s People’s National Army. The talks will include engagements with senior officials from Algeria’s Ministry of National Defence (MoND), covering a broad spectrum of topics related to strategic cooperation, defence partnerships, and regional security.
The visit underscores India’s focus on expanding defence ties with North African countries, marking a significant step in Indo-Algerian relations. The meetings will provide a platform for strengthening collaboration in defence training, technology sharing, and mutual security interests.
