In the aftermath of the BRICS Summit 2024 held in Russia, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov emphasized the Summit’s collective approach to addressing complex global security challenges. Alipov revealed that member nations extensively discussed ongoing conflicts, particularly in Ukraine, the Middle East, Afghanistan, and parts of Africa.

"On various global security issues, we appealed to approach the conflicts to address the root causes of current conflicts," Alipov remarked, emphasizing the need for diplomatic and peaceful solutions rather than merely dealing with immediate symptoms of these conflicts.

According to Alipov, the BRICS nations shared insights on how underlying causes, such as regional instability, economic disparities, and historical grievances, continue to fuel unrest. The ambassador pointed out that BRICS is not only focusing on specific crises but is also advocating for broader, structural changes to promote long-term peace and stability.
